The Cascade of Hope Community Initiative is registered as a Community Based Organization committed to improving the lives of less fortunate in Ruai Ward, Kasarani Sub County, and Nairobi County Kenya. The area served by the Organization is characterized by high levels of poverty, deplorable dwelling structures, inadequate sanitation facilities and general despondency and hopelessness due to high unemployment rates. All these conditions predispose residents to all kinds of diseases including TB/HIV/AIDS. The Health Center and community based were born out of the desire and compassion to reach out and reconstruct slums dwellers living in abject poverty, hopelessness, despair and mental health

Education and Protection

While there is no known cause of Autism, we do know Cascade of Hope Community Initiative is pleased to offer a full continuum of behavioral health, child welfare and intellectual/developmental disabilities programs and services. Our programs embrace four significant essentials of treatment through family engagement, behavioral assessments, trauma informed care and positive behavior support. Cascade of Hope Community Initiative provides a wide range of educational, clinical, residential and community-based programs and services to children and adults - ages five to 21 - with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional and behavioral differences, and dual diagnoses. Children's Services: Cascade of Hope Community Initiative provides a wide range of educational, clinical, residential and community-based programs and services for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences, and dual diagnoses. Adult Services: We offer a wide range of educational, clinical, residential and community-based programs and services for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional and behavioral differences, and dual diagnoses. Self-Advocacy: Speaking up for yourself, making your own decisions and impacting the direction of your life, are all important components to self-advocacy.

 
 

PARTNERSHIP

Cascade of Hope Community Initiative embraces strategic partnership with donors, Government, Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs & Special Programmes, Ministry of Health, County Health Departments, National Hospital Insurance Fund, Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK), AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), Pharmaccess Kenya, Ilara Health, Kenya Commercial Bank- Kariobangi Branch, Mission for Essential Drugs Supply (MEDS) Population Service International- Kenya Specifically, the organization has managed to establish a programme on HIV/AIDS behavior change communication whereby we give Free HIV Testing, care and support for the general population with the specific objective of encouraging couple counseling and testing, adolescents, sex workers and the general population.

Our Approach

We work alongside the communities we serve with local organizations because we know that a locally owned approach is the best way to deliver care where it is needed most and help people stay healthy. Over five years, we have built an extensive network of trusted partners across the country. Our expert team has helped end outbreaks, wipe out diseases, save the lives of countless mothers and babies, established health care systems where there were none and quality of lives to individuals who are living with Intellectual Development Disabilities / or other forms of development disabilities But the need is still tremendous.
